What I'm wearing.... Colour, colour, colour!!!!

So the clocks have gone forward so summer is officially on it's way!! We are seeing more sunny days although there's still a lot of rainy ones, which I am not feeling. So I'm definitely making the most of the sunny days and dressing summery whenever possible. I got this fab printed skirt from primark a couple of weeks ago for only £3 in the sale. I adore the print and the bold colours are amazing. I also got this top from primark, I love this off the shoulder style. I've had the black and white ones for a while but they've started doing all their basics in loads of summery colours and at only £2.50 they're an absolute bargain! I wore my bright vintage blazer for an extra pop of colour and my holographic backpack to add to the summery vibe. I wore fishnets as its not quite warm enough for bare legs just yet and my patent sandals. I accessoried with some bright layered chokers and my cute hexagonal sunglasses I got last summer which I am still in love with!

Vintage florals, holographic & bold brights!!

So we've actually been seeing a bit of sunshine recently and any sign of the sun and im dressing for summer!! I got this amazing floral playsuit a couple of weeks ago from Cow vintage in the sale for only £4. I loved the colours and it was such a bargain so I was so happy it fit me. I thought I'd have to wait till summer to wear it but as it was actually quite warm I wore it with a blazer and fishnet tights and it wasn't actually that chily. I think the turquoise of the blazer sets off the bright print perfectly, I adore bright colours so absolutely love this outfit. My amazing silver holographic backpack got its first outing, it was such a good price for only £10 and I know I will be using it loads in summer as it will go with so much. The sun is also any excuse for me to get some sandals out which has resulted in me having wet feet some days when the weather suddenly changes (oops). I got these amazing patent sandals from Primark a few weeks back and at only £10 they're a great price and I know they will be a summer wardrobe staple. They do them in holograpgic silver too which I feel I need in my life, they would have gone perfectly with this look! Finally I finished off the look with some cute chokers also from primark they've got loads of fab ones in packs at the moment and they're only around £3/4 for a pack of about 5, bargain! The sun was out so I had to pop on some sunnies and these turquoise ones work perfectly. I can't wait to wear this playsuit in the summer bare legged the colours are lush and it will be a perfect festival outfit!

Little black mesh & Palm trees!!

So on Saturday I went for a meal for my friends birthday. I knew I would probably end up forgetting to take outfit pictures so I took some of my outfit earlier in the week. I got this fab tshirt dress from Primark last week for only £6. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be a top rather than a dress but I went for a larger size so I could wear it as a dress. It's black with a mesh panel at the top and roll sleeves. It's really simple but I really love it, I blinged it up with my other fave recent buys from Primark, this amazing palm tree necklace that was only £3 with matching earrings that were only £1.50! I love anything a bit novelty like these and they're so summery so I know I'll be wearing them loads to jazz up an outfit. I wanted to add a pop of colour so wore my lime leather clutch bag, i attached the long chain strap as I probably would've lost it otherwise. I wore my trusty kick push boots to finish the look.

I actually wore a bright purplely/pink vintage blazer on the night as it was a bit chilly but I didn't take any photos in this as it was a last minute decision. I also wore my sassy lips rather than black lips on the night as the lipstick and glitter matched the jacket perfectly. I also decided to wear my extensions as a last minute decision as I am changing my hair colour and have only worn them a couple of times so thought they deserved a last outing!

We went for the meal at Le Bistrot Pierre, I hadn't been before but it was lovely. I had calamari for starter and steak for main, two of my fave dishes! Afterwards we headed for cocktails at Lola Los then for drinks in a couple of other bars, before we headed to a club to dance the night away!! Snoop Dogg even made an appearance (best present ever!!)

A spot of Afternoon Tea @ H&F Vintage Tea Rooms!!

So this week my mum and I had a rare day off work together so decided we'd have an outing. We decided to go to Chesterfield for a wander, then my mum suggested going to the H&F vintage tea rooms. I'd never been before, but it's a recently opened vintage tea room tucked behind a gorgeous furniture store. It wasn't what I was expecting, it was a big open barn like room decorated beautifully. I love looking around at little knick knacks and there was plenty to look at, with pictures, vintage lampshades, bunting, an open fire and so much more. It had a real home from home feel and the staff were all dressed in vintage style tea dresses which was a really nice touch.

We decided to go for classic afternoon tea and at £9.95 per person it was really reasonably priced. You could pick from tea, coffee or hot chocolate. A selection of classic sandwiches (egg mayonnaise, smoked salmon and cream cheese, cheese and chutney and hand carved ham and wholegrain mustard) you could even pick to have white/brown or a mix of bread. Then you got to choose from a selection of homemade scones. Last but not least you got to a choose a slice from their selection of homemade cakes.

We only had to wait a short time and it was brought out to us on a gorgeous tiered cake stand. I went for English breakfast tea and my mum went for gingerbread hot chocolate that came topped with cream and marshmallows in a cute jar glass. The sandwiches were lush and the ham was super tasty it's always nice to get fresh produce unlike some cafes. I had a cherry scone and mum went for fruit, we got little teacups of butter, jam, clotted cream and grapes, blueberries and raspberries to go with the scones. They were huge and soo tasty and the fruit was a nice added touch. By this point we were getting pretty full but I had my lime and pistachio cake and mum her strawberry mascarpone cake to get through. The slices were very generous and I struggled to eat it all. I loved that it was served in vintage China as it's so much nicer and more authentic, I absolutely adore any kind of vintage China as I have quite a selection of my own.

It was so yummy and for the price definitely worth it. The service was great and it had a nice warm atmosphere. I'm definitely glad we got to try there as I will certainly be going back. My mum even treated me to a cute tea infuser with pot teapot attached, it was a bargain at only £2.50 and has a little ribbon to hang it up with, so it's now hanging in my kitchen!

The sun was out so I went for a bit of a summery look and actually wore a jacket rather than a coat. I haven't worn this jacket for soo long, I actually forgot I had it. I got it from cow vintage a while back and love the aztec print detail, it really jazzes up a plain outfit. I wore my fave crochet dress, with black cami dress underneath, fishnets and my Bethans. I finished it off with my new leather/cord double choker, tassel backpack and round sunnies.
