Unicorn Grunge!!!

Anyone who knows me will know I love unicorns and anything magical, but I also love a bit of darkness and grunge, so this post combines both of those things!! I have loved the trend of rock tees teamed with pretty pieces such as Lace/mesh and have done a couple of posts recently with this kind of look. This is another, with a rock tee with a twist, rather than a band slogan there is a unicorn and the words 'Ever After' on the front. It has a magical touch with the unicorn but still that grungey vibe being in black and white, it also has a Lace trim to the hem giving it that extra girly touch. It's not quite long enough to be a dress so I added some Lace trim cycling shorts underneath.

Playing on the girly touches I made the outfit into more of a dress with a Sheer mesh skirt over the top, I love the mix of all of these styles and materials together. I wore a western style waist belt to draw in my waist and added a bit of magical goodness with a silver holographic backpack. I wore my fave chunky buckle sandals with some fishnet socks and some silver mirrored sunglasses. I finished off the look some black pompom earrings and this silver 'peace' choker. I went for grungey make up with my absolute fave Lime Crime Venus palette eyeshadows and Lime Crime perlees lipstick in Denim blue.

What I'm wearing... Pretty Embroidered Mesh!!!

So today's post is quite a summery look again but could also be a transitional outfit if layered up. I can't remember if it was last year or early this year but zara did this amazing embroidered mesh dress, it was massive with bloggers and was a complete sell out with people selling it for extortionate prices on eBay. I really liked it so was gutted I couldn't get my hands on it but wasn't prepared to pay silly prices for it. Earlier in the year I came across basically the same dress on AliExpress, I wasn't sure if the quality would be any good and it's always tricky ordering from China due to the sizing and it taking forever to arrive! But I really liked the dress and the reviews and pictures looked almost identical so at a fraction of the Zara and eBay prices I thought it was worth a risk. It came super quick and was excellent quality and looked exactly like the Zara version so I was really pleased.

I've worn it a few times over the summer and absolutely love the floaty boho vibes. As it's all mesh the dress is very sheer so it needs something underneath. For this look I wore some cycling shorts and a longline lace bra underneath, but you could wear a cami dress or even leggings and a top underneath depending on the weather and how much flesh you wanna flash. As it was quite a warm day I was fine with these underneath, and as it was dry I was ok with sandals, so wore these espadrille wedges that I have worn to death over the summer. Adding to the boho vibe I wore a suede fringe bag, finishing off with a Floral Lace choker, pink cord choker and some tortoise shell round sunnies. I love this dress so much and love how transitional it can be, embroidery is still a huge trend at the moment, so I'll definitely be bringing it into autumn layered with some tights, boots and a jacket.

Print, Pink & Pineapples!!!

I know it's basically Autumn now after our non existent summer but we're in England after all so I can't say I'm that surprised. I am however gonna bring a bit of summer to those dreary days with this post, I forgot to blog this and as I'm not ready to let go of summer I'm gonna blog it anyway!! I got this swimsuit at the start of summer with the intention of wearing it more as a bodysuit than swimwear. Primark did loads of fun costumes this year and they were only £4, so I ended getting a few with this purpose in mind. This one has a white background with a fun print with pineapples, watermelons and flowers all over and a low scoop back.

I teamed it with this pleated pink skirt I've had for years and wore a vintage wooden/metal chain belt. I went for bold accessories with some pink fur heels and a rainbow sequin bag. I added a bit more rainbow to the mix with my absolute fave glitter rainbow earrings. I also wore a pineapple necklace to tie in with the tropical print of the bodysuit. Finishing off with some cute pompom bobbles in my hair and my fave holographic mirrored sunnies!! I totally feel like we've been robbed of a summer this year, I've barely got to wear any of my bright summery clothes and they're my fave kind! But as we wave goodbye to summer and hello to autumn I'll still try and incorporate as much colour into my outfits as I can, cause who wants to wear boring dark colours?! Certainly not me!!
