Brighton Rocks part 2!!!

The Wednesday half way through our trip we caught a bus to the marina, we didn't really know what was there but my mum had told me it was nice. I'd also seen there was activities for children on that day and it was mermaids and mermen that week, perfect! Mia made a mermaid, bracelet and trident but being a child she obviously lost two of the three within the hour! We had one of my favourite meals of the week for lunch at 'Coast to Coast'. Again I had a burger, I do try and have different things but I'm always drawn to them! It was amazing with sun blushed tomatoes, emmental and bacon with sweet potato fries and a side of chicken and blue cheese dippers, I'm such a pig! We had a wander around but it was mostly restaurants with just a few shops, then we headed back to town. We'd planned to go to Revolution for an earlier tea that evening as kids were only allowed in till 8. After we'd ate we headed across to the cinema to watch 'Inside out'. It was really good and definitely not just for kids. Maybe take some tissues with you though, I did very almost cry!!

For the next day we had prebooked wristbands to go on the rides on the pier. You saved £5 if you booked online so it was a good saving for us all at £15 each rather than £20. It was definitely worth it as most rides ranged from £3-5 each and you could go on them all as many times as you liked all day. There was quite a few good rides although the rollercoaster did nearly give me whiplash. We played some more in the arcades to try and win even more tickets. As it was such a lovely day we went on the beach.

We decided to be brave so went back for our bikinis and had a dip in the sea. It wasn't actually that cold but the pebbles on your feet were ridiculously painful!

We freshened up at the hotel and got changed then went back to the pier for our last hour of rides before our meal that we had booked. We also got a fab postcard style picture on the photobooth on the pier!

We'd seen 'Dirty Blonde' earlier in the week and it looked fabulous, even more fabulous Alice has a taste card which got us 2 for 1 on main meals there. Stepping out of my comfort zone (not!) I went for a buttermilk chicken burger, there was other fab things on the menu but buttermilk chicken is my fave so I couldn't resist. It came with fries and buttermilk slaw, it was so tasty. The decor in the place was amazing too, I'd definitely like to go back for cocktails on a night out, it was like something out of made in Chelsea!

After our meal we had a wander on the pier, it looked so lovely with the sun going down and all the lights lit up. Being the greedy pigs that we are we decided to treat ourselves and go for a late night treat at 'Creams'. We'd been eyeing it up all week it had the most amazing desserts from sundaes to waffles and crepes. We had a peanut butter and jelly waffle and cookie dough and fudge brownie sundae and boy were we stuffed!!

For our final day we had a wander to explore the other end of town, we went in a few shops mainly charity shops to try and thrift some bargains. I got a fab sequin top, an amazing shell printed blouse and some jogger/jeans for only £1 so didn't do too badly. We went for lunch at 'Lucky Beach' on the seafront and it was a glorious day. We had calamari and oozy blue cheese fries, they were so yummy. Of course we had to have another photo booth picture, we can't walk by one without having a snap!

We headed to the arcades to win our last few tickets and cash them in for a prize. We'd looked at the prizes and 2000 tickets would get you something decent but we didn't think we'd of got that in only a couple of days. As we put our tickets in the machine the suspense was killing us, but we got 1036 not bad going! Mia decided she'd go with a mini skateboard and some bubbles which wasn't too bad of a prize, although I dread to think how much we spent to get the tickets!

Before we knew it it was time to get the train home (cry face). It was such a lovely day and we'd had such a nice time that we didn't want to come home. Pride was also on the next day which we'd of loved to have stayed for. I definitely want to go back but maybe for the weekend with the girls as I'd like to hit the bars and clubs as I've heard it's a great night out. Unfortunately not even a pair of heels could've sneaked Mia in to da club!!

I definitely think we ate our way through Brighton and I left with my clothes feeling a little tighter (oops). If you haven't been before I'd definitely recommend it wether it's with friends, family or with a partner, there's so much to do and it's such a nice place!
