Lee Stafford Wave and Nourish waving wand!!

So after not being able to sleep a few nights ago and trawling the Internet looking at hair that I'll never be able to have, I had an urge to get a waver/waving wand. I was going out on saturday and decided I wanted my hair wavy and needed a tool to do it right that instant. I'd had my eye on the enrapture jumbo waver for a while but hadn't got round to getting it. As im quite strapped for cash currently I thought I'd see what argos had available as I have an argos card (so it's basically free...for now). There weren't that many to choose from and they didn't have many of the actual wavers but did have a bigger selection of the wands. After reading reviews and watching videos online I thought the Lee Stafford wave and nourish waving wand looked the best out of the lot. So I reserved one and picked it up before work the next day. I must admit it was an impulse buy, im such a child when I want something, I want it right away. But I think in this instance the impulse paid off.

Lee Stafford wave and nourish waving wand - Argos £29.99

It's an interesting shape and does remind me a little of something you might see in Ann Summers, but it's pink and orange and who doesn't love pink! It just has a simple on/off switch and heats up within a few seconds. It was a little confusing to use it at first and I burnt my fingers within seconds, but after watching a Youtube video with Lee Stafford i soon got the hang of it. You simply wrap a section of hair around the wand hold it for a few seconds then let it go. It's got Argan oil infused on the actual wand which lasts thousands of uses so it actually nourishs your hair whilst your using it. You can definitely tell as like with some wands/curlers your hair doesn't stick to it or go crispy, it leaves the waves feeling soft and bouncy. The wand is all different shaped grooves as to give a more random natural wave rather than a tight perfect curl. You only have to leave the strand of hair on for a few seconds and your left with a bouncy wave.

I tried it with my extensions the day I got them as a trial for my night out and really liked the effect much better than when I use my straighteners to curl them. I did the same the next night for my night out and they went even better second time round. The curls lasted all night aswell and I didn't even put much hairspray on.

I'm rubbish at taking pictures on a night out, I'm always having too much fun and forget. But I've got a couple that I saved from snapchat and some we had in a photo booth where you can kind of see my hair so I've put those on too.

I also tried it on my short natural hair and really like the effect, it was slightly harder to use the wand on shorter hair and I did burn my neck but I am quite clumsy. The waves are looser and less defined on shorter hair but it's a look I've been after for a while as I don't like the way it looks when I use my straighteners to curl it without extensions in, so usually just keep it straight. I'm really pleased that I've got a different way to wear my hair now and it's just as quick and easy as straightening it. It's also great for this time of year where your hair can frizz as soon as you step out the door, so atleast with a wave you can hide any frizz that does occur.

I'd definicely recommend this wand for anyone who's after this kind of effect on their hair and at £29.99 it's a really good price and definately worth it. I may sometimes regret my impulse buys but this one I certainly don't and I'll definitely be getting lots of use out of it.
