Glastonbury part 3!!!

So now we're on to Saturday, and what turned out to be another hot and sunny day. It was another early start with 'Swim Deep' starting at 11am. Their floaty summery vibe was just what we needed though and they played a great set.

After that was 'Sunset Sons' a band I've really got into recently. Lead singer Rory's voice is just amazing and he's very easy on the eye also. They were fabulous and drew in a large crowd as the set went on. They also did a very impressive cover of Jamie T's 'sticks and stones' where I think Rory may have even sang it faster than Jamie!

We were feeling a little worse for wear and drained at this point so tried to eat and watched 'Coasts' from outside the tent. I definitely want to see them again as they were fab and another band with a summery vibe which I love. Next up was 'Slaves' I'd only seen them once before but was too drunk to fully remember it (oops) so was really excited to see them. For a two piece they make alot of noise and they're hilarious with their chat between songs. There was a huge crowd with people spilling out of the John peel tent. They had someone dressed in a mantaray costume for 'Feed the Mantaray' to run across the stage and get into the crowd, aswell as Laurie and Isaac both getting into the crowd throughout the set. Definitely a band to watch!

Next up was Ella Eyre, the girl who knows how to pull off a catsuit with this being no exception with a black and purple number. She sounded incredible on every track, she was such a soulful powerful voice. She treated us to an exclusive first live play of her new single aswell as Rudimentals 'waiting all night' which she featured on, which really got the crowd going.

Then it was time for Years & Years one of my favourite new bands. Olly had a fabulous rainbow sequin top on which he did have to take off part way through. They have such feel good summer tracks and I love the rawness in Ollys voice in the slower tracks. I'm super excited for the debut album to drop this week and to see them again later in the year.

Paloma Faith was next over on the pyramid stage and she had a huge crowd. We decided to stand further back on the hill so we could actually see as everyone was packed in like sardines. She was amazing and hilarious between her songs, I'd not seen her before so really enjoyed her set, that lady sure can sing!

Pharrell Williams was next on the pyramid, we were excited when he did some of his older N.E.R.D tracks and some classic tracks. But he did seem to have dancers on a lot of the time and other peoples tracks playing whilst he stood and didn't really do much. He was good but not as good as expected and I wouldn't pay to go and see just him as it seemed more like a karaoke and dancers than him singing.

We headed over to one of the smaller stages The Leftfield tent to watch 'Enter Shikari'. They played to a small but lively crowd with crowdsurfers flying over the barrier every few minutes and the band getting into the crowd on several occasions.

Then it was back to the Pyramid stage for the act everyone had been talking about Mr 'Kanye West'. The crowd was actually very big and we tried to get our way in as much as we could ending up centre stage but quite a bit back. As he came on with hit 'Stronger' he actually sounded pretty good and I was pleasantly surprised. The lighting probably seemed like a good idea and looked great on tele, but from the crowd it was so bright and smoky that alot of the time it was hard to see him on stage and the screens at the side barely captured him either. His set was pretty strong playing classic after classic with everyone shouting back the words. Even the stage invader running on early in the set didn't stop him! He didn't really speak that much throughout the set but it felt like he was sure to make some remark at some point to prove what an idiot he can be. And he didn't disappoint claiming we was watching 'the biggest rockstar on the planet' not once, or twice but atleast 3 maybe even 4 times, which did get some heavy boos from the crowd!

Towards the end of the set he ran off stage after starting a track to which the crowd started booing immediately. Only for him to appear above the screen at the side of the stage on a crane. He sang a few more tracks then came back onto the stage to finish his set which overran as he refused to leave the stage, ending with classics 'Golddigger' and 'All Falls down'. Surprisingly he was rather good even if he let himself down with his silly comment, but then I guess Kanye wouldn't be Kanye without his ridiculous remarks!

We ended the night in shangri la watching another set from 'Slaves' on the hell stage, who were again fabulous and hilarious!

For the Saturday I wore my amazing crochet dress that I got from depop store Born to Die ran by the lovely Laura. She has so many amazing festival inspired pieces, alot which are very similar to Rat and Boa pieces but cheaper. Laura was so helpful and got it posted out to me super quickly. I'll definitely be getting more from her fab collection, be sure to check out her Instagram page too. I love the colours in this dress and wore it with a black cami underneath and a skinny belt. I wore my festival beaded bumbag, heart sunglasses, patent boots, feather headdress and of course glittery festival lips!
